Big Mac Sloppy Joe Recipe: Easy, and Crowd-Pleasing!

  • Author: Fati

Ingredients

1 pound Ground beef (80/20 blend)

1 medium Yellow onion (diced)

2 tablespoons Pickle relish

½ cup Thousand Island dressing

4 slices American cheese slices

1 cup Shredded lettuce

4-6 slices Dill pickles (sliced thin)

4 buns Burger buns or sandwich rolls

2 tablespoons Ketchup

1 tablespoon Yellow mustard

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

To taste Salt and pepper

Instructions

Follow these easy steps to make your Big Mac Sloppy Joe:

  1. Cook the Ground Beef
  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a wooden spoon, until it’s fully browned. Drain any excess grease.
  1. Add Flavor
  • Stir in the diced onion and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Add the ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine, letting the flavors meld together for another 2-3 minutes.
  1. Incorporate Big Mac Flair
  • Stir in the pickle relish and a portion of the Thousand Island dressing (reserve some for topping). Reduce the heat to low and simmer for a few minutes until the mixture is thickened.
  1. Toast the Buns
  • While the beef mixture simmers, lightly toast your burger buns or sandwich rolls on a dry skillet or in the oven for added texture.
  1. Assemble the Sloppy Joes
  • Spoon the beef mixture onto the bottom halves of the buns. Add a slice of American cheese on top while it’s still warm so it melts slightly. Layer with shredded lettuce and dill pickle slices. Drizzle with additional Thousand Island dressing.
  1. Finish and Serve
  • Place the top bun on each sandwich, serve immediately, and enjoy your Big Mac Sloppy Joe creation
