Ingredients
1 pound Ground beef (80/20 blend)
1 medium Yellow onion (diced)
2 tablespoons Pickle relish
½ cup Thousand Island dressing
4 slices American cheese slices
1 cup Shredded lettuce
4-6 slices Dill pickles (sliced thin)
4 buns Burger buns or sandwich rolls
2 tablespoons Ketchup
1 tablespoon Yellow mustard
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
To taste Salt and pepper
Instructions
Follow these easy steps to make your Big Mac Sloppy Joe:
- Cook the Ground Beef
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a wooden spoon, until it’s fully browned. Drain any excess grease.
- Add Flavor
- Stir in the diced onion and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Add the ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine, letting the flavors meld together for another 2-3 minutes.
- Incorporate Big Mac Flair
- Stir in the pickle relish and a portion of the Thousand Island dressing (reserve some for topping). Reduce the heat to low and simmer for a few minutes until the mixture is thickened.
- Toast the Buns
- While the beef mixture simmers, lightly toast your burger buns or sandwich rolls on a dry skillet or in the oven for added texture.
- Assemble the Sloppy Joes
- Spoon the beef mixture onto the bottom halves of the buns. Add a slice of American cheese on top while it’s still warm so it melts slightly. Layer with shredded lettuce and dill pickle slices. Drizzle with additional Thousand Island dressing.
- Finish and Serve
- Place the top bun on each sandwich, serve immediately, and enjoy your Big Mac Sloppy Joe creation
